Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 2 (ANI): Congress leader Priyank Kharge on Tuesday alleged that whenever Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi raises questions on “electoral malpractices, corruption or misuse of central agencies,” the concerned authorities remain silent while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes into action.
In a social media post on X, Karnataka Minister Kharge accused the BJP of “spewing rhetoric and spreading misinformation.”
He wrote, “Whenever Leader of Opposition @RahulGandhi raises pertinent questions about electoral malpractices, corruption or misuse of agencies, the concerned authorities, be it Election Commission, Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax or Central Bureau of Investigation maintain a deafening silence. Meanwhile, their self-appointed spokesperson, BJP, jumps into action, spewing rhetoric and spreading misinformation.”

Kharge further alleged that the BJP’s reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s expose of “voter irregularities” is a desperate attempt to “whitewash” their misdeeds.
The social media post reads, “The latest example is Rahul Gandhi’s expose of voter irregularities, based on data sourced directly from the Election Commission itself, not from WhatsApp University. Despite the gravity of these allegations, the EC remains tight-lipped, neither confirming nor denying the claims. Yet, BJP and its proxies continue their tirade, revealing their desperation to whitewash their misdeeds.”
Kharge further said that every issue raised by the Congress leader had been proven true, claiming it exposed “the deep rot within the institutions.”
“The pattern is clear. Every issue LoP @RahulGandhi has raised has been proven true, exposing the deep rot within our institutions. This only reinforces our commitment to dismantle this unholy alliance, which is hell-bent on destabilizing our Constitution and democratic values. BJP’s fear is palpable and they have every reason to be terrified. Their attempts to silence our fight against constitution will ultimately fail, as the truth will prevail,” the post added. (ANI)
