Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 13 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Working President and MLA Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) condemned the alleged arrest of BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy.
KTR demanded that Patnam Narender Reddy and all the farmers arrested in Lagcherla should be released immediately.
Taking to social media X, KTR wrote in a post that the arrest of the BRS MLA was a proof of incompetence of Revanth Reddy’s administration and a conspiracy to blame the revolt of people.
KTR wrote in the post ,”The arrest of Patnam Narender Reddy is a proof to the incompetence of Revanth Reddy’s administration. This is a conspiracy to blame the people’s revolt in his (Revanth’s own constituency on BRS. This unfortunate government is even arresting representatives for even speaking with the cadre. As the people rebbeled, undemocratic actions are being taken in Lagcherla to suppress them.”
“By taking Patnam Narender Reddy into custody they are trying to threaten that illegal arrests will be done if anyone questions the government. If BRS representatives who are fighting on behalf of the people with false cases are intimidated with illegal cases and arrest, then it is a foolish move. BRS will continue to fight against Revanth Reddy’s undemocratic actions. Since the movement days, BRS has seen many such restrictions and illegal arrests. The more they try to suppress us, the harder we will fight.I strongly condemn the arrest of Patnam Narender Reddy. He and the farmers arrested in Lagcherla should be released immediately,” he added.
Meanwhile, a viral video has surfaced that purpotedly shows former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy beeing picked up into a vehicle.
However, the police officials are yet to confirm the arrest. Vikarabad Addl SP says that they were trying to arrest him and it is not confirmed yet, the news of the arrest are just rumours. (ANI)
