Siliguri (West Bengal) [India], September 5 (ANI): FICCI Zone 1 President and North Bengal Exporters Secretary Brij Kishore Prasad lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent China visit, stating that if both countries can run a “joint venture” then it will be beneficial for Make in India initiative.
Prasad further emphasised that war is never an “option” to solve conflicts in the world and hailed PM Modi’s step towards protecting the country and building friendships with China.
“This is a great benefit for our country… If we can run a joint venture with them, it will be a great opportunity for Make In India… It will also bring peace to the people of northeastern India… War is never an option. It is great how PM Modi is moving ahead protecting the country and its honour and then building friendships with nations like China,” Brij Kishore Prasad said.
Mukesh Singhal, who is a trader from the Golden Plaza of China, praised PM Modi’s China visit, stating that he is working in every sector and mentioned that India has made significant progress through the Make in India initiative.
“This is a great visit… This will be beneficial for the country in the days to come… The way our PM is working in each sector… We have made significant progress in Make In India and export to a lot of countries… Everyone is getting a positive sign with the way the Presidents of Russia and China came together with our Prime Minister,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently travelled to China on a two day with the purpose of attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. He also held bilaterals talks with Chinese president Xi Jinping and Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Addressing the Summit, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s approach to strengthening cooperation under the SCO framework. In this regard, he noted that India seeks greater action under three pillars – Security, Connectivity and Opportunity.
Emphasising that peace, security, and stability remain key to progress and prosperity, he called upon member countries to take firm and decisive action to fight terrorism in all its manifestations.
The Prime Minister underlined the need for coordinated action against terror financing and radicalisation. Thanking member countries for their strong solidarity in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, he emphasised that there should be no double standards in dealing with terrorism and urged the group to hold countries that perpetrate and support cross-border terrorism accountable.
Prime Minister thanked President Xi Jinping for his warm hospitality and congratulated him on the successful organisation of the Summit. He also congratulated Kyrgyzstan on taking over the next Presidency of the SCO.
At the conclusion of the Summit, the SCO Member countries adopted the Tianjin Declaration. (ANI)
