Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], October 21 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated Krishan Bedi for assuming charge as state minister and thanked the people of the state for giving the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) such a big mandate for the third time.

Krishan Bedi assumed charge as Haryana Minister in the presence of CM Nayab Singh Siani, in Chandigarh on Monday.
“I congratulate Krishan Bedi and thank the people of Haryana for giving BJP such a big mandate for the third time…Under the leadership of PM Modi we will take Haryana towards progress and development,” Saini said.
Meanwhile, Bedi took oath as a Cabinet minister on Thursday. After taking oath he said that the state government would complete the work that had been decided in the party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto).
Bedi is among the 13 legislators inducted into the new cabinet under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday.
“I have got the opportunity to join Nayab Singh Saini’s team. My top leadership has expressed faith in me. Our government has been formed for the third time in the state, which had never happened before. So the public has also trusted us. We will complete the work that we had decided in the Sankalp Patra,” Bedi said after the oath ceremony.
Earlier, Nayab Singh Saini was administered the oath of office by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, marking his second term as Chief Minister of Haryana. His council of ministers was also sworn in during the ceremony.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula, also saw BJP leader OP Dhankar congratulating Nayab Singh Saini on being sworn in as Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time.
This is the BJP’s third consecutive government in Haryana after securing 48 out of 90 seats in the recent assembly elections, while the Congress won 37 seats.
The ceremony was attended by several high-profile figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rajiv Ranjan Singh. Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, including Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma, Gujarat’s Bhupendra Patel, and Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath, were also present.
In addition, prominent NDA leaders such as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended the event. (ANI)
