Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 9 (ANI): Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda, saying that he should not spread “lies”. He asked whether it was a failure of the Congress government to provide cylinders for Rs 500 in the state.
The Minister on Sunday claimed that the Congress government was providing free electricity to 50 lakh households, and loans for 25 lakh farmers have also been waived off.
“I only want to ask him (Nadda) one question. Is it a failure to provide a cylinder for Rs 500? The cylinder prices were increased to Rs 1,300 but we are giving it for Rs 500. We are providing free electricity to 50 lakh households. We paid Rs 3,000 crore to RTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation). Is this a failure? We are waiving off loans worth Rs two lakh for 25 lakh farmers. Nobody has done this in the last 75 years. Naddaji, I am your senior. I have been elected six times. Don’t talk lies when you come in Telangana,” Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told reporters.
Reddy further attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for telling “lies” that he would bring black money.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi told lies that he will bring black money. But that has not happened. They should ask the villages whether we are providing free electricity, free RTC…We have done good work and we will continue to do so. We are giving salaries on the first date of every month. The earlier government used to give salaries on the 20th of every month. Is this a failure?” the Telangana Minister remarked.
This comes after BJP president Nadda launched an attack on the Congress government in Telangana while addressing a public rally in Telangana’s Rangareddy on Saturday. He was addressing the rally to highlight what he called the failures of the Congress government in Telangana over the past year.
“We are ruling in 13 states with an absolute majority. The people of Telangana are also waiting. They have seen BRS and Congress governments. Now, it’s time to make the Lotus bloom and align with the development of Telangana,” Nadda said. (ANI)
