New Delhi [India], July 27 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the OBC reservation bill saying that BJP is against the Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minorities, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs.
Sanjay Singh also dared the BJP to pass OBC reservation bill if the BJP is not against backward class.
“…BJP is against Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minorities, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and if this OBC reservation bill has come and BJP’s intention is clear, then they should pass the bill. This bill is in the interest of the backward class people of the country and we will support this bill not once but 1000 times…” said AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he questioned the PM and BJP’s intentions. “I want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if your party and your intention are clear, then no better bill can come than this, pass this bill, there should be reservations for OBCs based on population…By opposing this bill, BJP has exposed its real face in front of the whole country,” said the AAP MP.
Meanwhile, another AAP MP Raghav Chadha on Thursday lashed out at the centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that citizens of the nation have to pay taxes like England to get facilities like Somalia.
He further said that the BJP managed to secure 240 seats, short of the majority mark in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections because the public imposed 18 per cent GST on them (BJP-led NDA government).
While taking part in the debate over the Union Budget, Chadha stated that in 2019, the BJP had 303 seats in Lok Sabha, but in 2024, the public imposed 18 per cent GST and gave them only 240 seats. There are various reasons stated behind their plight including the failure of Dharm and casteism card, problems in ticket distribution, etc, but there are three main reasons – economy, economy, economy.
Presenting an example, Chadha stated that if a common man earns Rs 10, then he has to pay Rs 3 for income tax, Rs 2 – 2.50 goes into GST, Rs 2 goes into Capital Gain charges and Rs 1 -1.50 goes into some other charges, which means Rs 7-8 goes into the treasure of the government. We, in India, pay taxes like England to get services like Somalia. (ANI)
