New Delhi [India], July 21 (ANI): On the occasion of Guru Purnima, the Chief Ministers from across the country extended their greetings and offered their prayers in temples on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his prayers at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur. CM Adityanath was seen pouring milk on Lord Shiva and offering his prayers to Lord Gorakhnath at the temple.
Adityanath also interacted with children, distributing chocolates on the temple premises. Adityanath also took to X, wishing the people of the state on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
“Heartiest greetings to the people of the state on the sacred festival of ‘Guru Purnima’! Guru’s grace protects the disciple from all kinds of obstacles. It removes the physical, divine, and material sufferings of the surrendered disciple and grants him salvation. My heartfelt greetings and salutations to all the teachers,” he said.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also offered his prayers at Bagdana Bapa Sitaram Temple on the occasion of Guru Purnima in Bhavnagar.

Taking to X, Patel said, “Today, on the auspicious day of Gurupurnima, I visited the place of Pujya Shri Bapa Sitaram at Bagdana and received the divine opportunity of darshan and worship. Pujya Bapa, who spread bhajans and food, lit the flame of humanity in the entire Saurashtra Panthak. On this occasion, I salute his divine consciousness.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed Gau Pooja on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

He also congratulated and extended his wishes to all the people in the country for the festival.
“Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the country and state on the sacred festival of Guru Purnima… Our government has also taken the historic decision to name the vice-chancellors of universities Kulguru in honour of teachers. The tradition of Kulguru has been going on in our country for centuries and based on its culture, education, and lifestyle, India has always been leading the world,” he said in an X post.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also took to X to extend his wishes
“The teacher is Brahma, the teacher is Vishnu, the teacher is God, the teacher is Maheshwara. The spiritual master is directly the Supreme Brahman. I offer my obeisances to that auspicious spiritual master. Happy Guru Purnima to you all and best wishes. Guru has a very respectable place in Indian culture. The teacher is a bridge that connects knowledge and the disciple. A Guru gives the right direction and meaning to the life of the disciple by irrigating the life of the disciple with the nectar of knowledge,” he said. (ANI)
