Tel Aviv [Israel], July 19 (ANI/TPS): Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released selected data from the 2023 Social Survey: Preventive Medicine – Immunizations and Medical Examinations for Early Detection of Malignant Diseases.
The data released is for people 20 years old or older, unless otherwise stated:
90 per cent of parents of children aged 0-17 have vaccinated their children with all of the routine vaccines, while 6.1 per cent do not vaccinate their children regularly or did not vaccinate at all.
43 per cent of people aged 50 and over had a test in the last year to detect blood in the stool, colon cancer and other intestinal problems.
47 per cent of those aged 40 and over have had a colonoscopy to detect cancer in the colon and rectum, and 35 per cent have been tested in the last five years.
77 per cent of women aged 50-76 in the last two years had a mammography to detect breast cancer.
59 per cent of women aged 25-57 in the last three years had a Pap smear is a test to check for cervical cancer (ANI/TPS)
